Founded by designer Lisa Spencer in 1997, Mere’ Designs is one of Weddington North Carolina’s best design firms.
With a combined 35 years in the industry, our design/build approach remains uncomplicated, as we shape clients’ visions and preferences into creative and comprehensive construction plan and design schemes. We believe that no two homes should ever be designed alike, just as no two people are alike. Beginning with the preliminary meeting, our process provides each client with a broad spectrum of ideas, and ensures variety and excitement through to the finished product. At Mere’ Designs, we strive to provide custom options for every element of the project, as well as a large array of experienced contractors on our team, in order to take dreams and them a reality.

Lisa Spencer
General Contractor, Interior Designer, Owner
During the past twenty-five years plus, I have been employed as the Owner of Mere Design, LLC, a Design Build company specializing in residential and commercial New Construction and up-scale Upfits/Renovations. I oversee as many as 67 tradespersons on jobs valued as high as $1.5 million. My background includes consultations to business owners on city infrastructure and extensive volunteer work mentoring design students. In addition, I have my 2nd level FEMA Certification, along with other Certifications and memberships in several industry-related affiliations.
My skills include AutoCAD design, proposals, purchasing, scheduling, logistics, materials planning, site set-up and supervision, code and planning and zoning compliance, budget management, project management, and all facets of construction. I rely on the establishment of collaborative working partnerships, real-time performance tracking, cost efficiencies, quality, safety, and risk mitigation. I serve as a catalyst for positive change, new ideas and contribute to a culture of teamwork, performance excellence and continuous improvement.
Being in the Interior Design field for over 30 years with a Bachelors’ degree in Interior Design from The University of Baker in Michigan. During my many years in the business, I have managed small to large scale projects. As a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry. Many of those years have been spent mastering the craft of technical elements of construction and fine finishes. One of my passions is in Historical Preservation. I believe that, “we must preserve those rich aspects of our past to help us in planning for a better tomorrow.”
United State Coast Guard Auxiliary. Member of the Historical Commission of Lancaster County, South Carolina and the Lancaster County Action Council. Certified as a Hunter Douglas Representative and WCAA (Window Coverings association of America). Certified in the Psychology of Color. Motorization, Optic, Solar and Smart Home Integration.
